Stephanie loves writing music of all kinds. She writes for media applications such as music for film, music libraries, corporate videos and websites. She also write songs for church settings and music for the concert stage. This includes choral and instrumental works for chamber ensembles and orchestra. Also, Stephanie discovered a love for composing music for media while completing the Graduate Diploma (DESS) in film music at L'Université de Québec à Montréal which provided her with extensive training in the art of writing music for film.
Stephanie furthered her knowledge of music and audio technology by studying Audio Engineering at TARA in Ottawa. Her home studio is equipped with some of the latest music and audio software, including the D.A.W.s, Digital Performer and Pro Tools, the notation software Sibelius, as well as, many virtual instrument libraries and synths from companies such as Spitfire, East West and Native Instruments. Combining the use of virtual instruments and live musicians, Stephanie creates effective and moving works, even while working within the constraints of the tightest of budgets. Through her diverse musical background, Stephanie has developed a unique and creative musical style well able to satisfy the dramatic needs of audio-visual materials and for the concert stage.
